Movie Review By Esmeralda Diaz

Evil Villain Steels Eiffel Tower(The small one from Vegas)
By: Esmeralda Diaz
Chris Renaud’s animated comedy “Despicable Me” is an all age’s movie. The main actors in this movie are Steve Carell as Gru. Another actor is Miranda Cosgrove as Margo the oldest girl. Then there’s Russell Brand as Dr. Nefario. Finally there is Jason Segal as Vector. The movie takes place in a suburban setting (NY), a secret lab through a chair and the bank of evil. Gru is in trouble because he is not evil enough and a new villain who goes by the name of Vector stole a pyramid. Now Gru had an idea that would make him the greatest villain of all time and the plan was to steel the moon. Then Gru was trying to steel the shrink ray from Vector but it was impossible because he had all sort of traps. But then three little girls came to sell Vector some cookies and they easily got in. So Gru decided to adopt them, and he did, their names were Margo, Edith, and Agnes. Then Dr. Nefario made some cookie robots. When the girls went to sell some cookies some of them were robots and they helped Gru steel the shrink ray.
The movie was basically about a villain who wanted to be the best of all the villains. But then these little girls get involve in his life and everything changes. This movie is hilarious but it’s also very touching. Some of the characters like the minions act like little kids but they are the ones who help Gru steel things so that he can be the best villain. One of the human conditions is that Gru always wanted to go to the moon but his mom said it was too late and she never cared about what he did.
This movie has great camera angles that some of them can make you feel like you are in the movie. Once you hear the minions talk I’m sure you’ll want to laugh.
This movie is a fun, and loving family movie that everybody will enjoy.
